Jacoby Thomas has run for 397 yards in three games. Parrish Community is still looking for a win to go with them.

The Bulls get their next chance Friday, September 11, when Palm Harbor University visits for a 7 p.m. kickoff. Both teams are 0–3. Parrish comes home from a 35–13 loss at Bayshore; the Hurricanes arrive having gone two games without scoring.

Parrish has finished with 14, 12 and 13 points in its first three games. The Bulls have a back who can move the ball. They need more drives to end in the end zone.[1][2][3]

The senior back needed only seven carries to rush for 90 yards and a touchdown against Bayshore, adding a 21-yard reception. He opened the season with 170 rushing yards against Lakewood Ranch, then ran for 137 at Riverview. MaxPreps lists his average at 132.3 yards per game.

No. 0 gives Parrish fans a reason to like this matchup. On the other side, watch sophomore linebacker Travis Clayton, who leads Palm Harbor in tackles. Clayton has 32 tackles and two sacks in the Hurricanes’ posted season statistics.

Palm Harbor opened with a 21–17 loss to Countryside, then lost 14–0 to Tarpon Springs and 13–0 to St. Petersburg. The Hurricanes have allowed just 27 points across those last two games and have nothing to show for it in the win column.

My first question Friday is what Parrish can get alongside Thomas. He has produced against all three opponents so far, and the Bulls are still chasing points. Palm Harbor’s recent scores suggest this could be a game where one more finished drive makes a real difference.[4][5][1][2]

Bayshore showed how quickly that offensive production can get overshadowed. Parrish trailed 22–7 at halftime and 35–13 after three quarters of last Friday’s loss.

Camdon Stancil scored on a 42-yard punt return and runs of 47 and two yards, according to Emma Moon’s Sarasota Herald-Tribune report. Two of those scores covered more than 40 yards; one came with Bayshore’s offense on the sideline.

I’d like to see the Bulls make Palm Harbor earn its points with sustained drives. The Hurricanes haven’t scored since the opener. A return touchdown would give them a way around that problem—and leave Parrish asking its offense to dig out again.[4][6][2]
