A 14-point halftime deficit became a much steeper climb for Parrish Community on Friday. Sumner scored 30 points in the third quarter and beat the Bulls 52–6 in Riverview, leaving Parrish still looking for its first win.

The October 9 loss dropped the Bulls to 0–7 overall and 0–2 in Class 5A District 10. Sumner improved to 5–3 and earned its first district victory, moving to 1–1.

The MaxPreps box score records a scoreless first quarter, followed by 14 Sumner points in the second. Parrish scored its six points in the third, but the Stingrays’ 30-point quarter put Sumner ahead 44–6. Sumner added eight in the fourth.

For Parrish, the result followed a 52–0 loss to Palmetto on September 25. The Bulls have scored 20 points across their last four games. Sumner, meanwhile, has won two straight after beating Jefferson 38–7 a week earlier.

Parrish returns home Friday, October 16, to face IMG Academy Junior National at 7 p.m. That non-district game begins a two-game home stretch; Manatee follows October 23 before the Bulls finish their regular-season schedule at Plant City on October 30.[1][2][3][4][5]
