Parrish Community put Tuesday’s five-set loss to Sarasota behind it with a four-set win at Braden River on Thursday, October 1, taking the match 25–11, 25–14, 10–25, 25–21.

The Bulls improved to 15–7. They have now won six of their last seven matches, with the Sarasota defeat the only interruption in a stretch that began with three wins on September 19.

Thursday’s set scores tell a straightforward story: Parrish took the first two by double-digit margins, Braden River won the third decisively, and the Bulls finished the match in the fourth. The final set was the closest of the night. Parrish won it by four points to avoid another fifth-set finish.

The posted MaxPreps box score, supplied by D. Stevenson, confirms the result. Individual player totals were not included in that match record at the time of reporting.[1][2]

Lakewood Ranch comes to Parrish on Tuesday, October 6, for a 7 p.m. match. The Mustangs won the teams’ first meeting 3–2 on August 27, so the Bulls will get another chance against a team that has already taken them the distance.

Parrish follows that with a home match against Southeast on Thursday, October 8, listed for 7:15 p.m. For now, the Bulls head into the Lakewood Ranch rematch with a road win and six victories from their last seven outings.[2]
