One night after sweeping Lehigh, Parrish Community found itself on the other side of a three-set playoff result. Riverview Sarasota beat the Bulls 25–16, 25–6, 25–15 on Tuesday, October 13, ending Parrish’s four-match winning streak.
The Bulls fell to 18–8. Riverview improved to 17–6 with its fifth consecutive victory.
Parrish’s closest set was the opener, a nine-point loss. The second was the widest margin of the night: Riverview allowed just six points before taking the third by ten.
The loss followed a productive run for the Bulls. The Bulls had beaten Braden River and Lakewood Ranch in four sets, then swept Southeast and Lehigh. Monday’s playoff opener against Lehigh was especially decisive, with Parrish allowing 22 points across all three sets.
Riverview brought a winning run of its own into Tuesday’s home match. Its previous four victories included a sweep of Venice and a five-set win over Sarasota. The Rams’ schedule lists Venice next, a playoff matchup on Thursday, October 15, at 7 p.m.[1][2][3][4]
