Parrish Community gave Southeast its closest opening in the second set, then closed the door with a 25–8 finish Thursday, October 8. The Bulls won 25–11, 25–21, 25–8 at home, extending their winning streak to three matches and improving to 17–7.

The middle set was the only one decided by fewer than ten points. Parrish won the opener by 14 and the third by 17, completing its second sweep of Southeast this season. The Bulls also won the August 25 meeting in Bradenton, 3–0.

Thursday’s result capped a productive stretch against local opponents. Parrish beat Braden River in four sets October 1, then took another four-set victory over Lakewood Ranch on Tuesday for its first district win. Across those three matches, the Bulls have won nine sets and dropped two.

The Southeast match was outside district play, leaving Parrish at 1–4 in Class 6A District 11. The Bulls are now 5–2 at home. Southeast fell to 4–13.

Southeast had swept Bayshore the night before. Against Parrish, the Seminoles could not take a set in either of their two meetings this fall.

Next comes the district tournament. Parrish is scheduled to face Lehigh on Monday, October 12, at 7 p.m., according to the MaxPreps tournament listing.[1][2][3][4]
