Zoey Morelli has already put Parrish Community in the state championship record book. Her senior season brings a different first: competing for the Bulls alongside her younger sister.

Morelli received her championship ring September 8, between sets of Parrish’s volleyball match against Manatee. The celebration recognized her 2026 title in the Class 3A, 110-pound Olympic division, the first individual state championship in school history.

Now freshman Avery Morelli is joining the program, adding a family connection to a team that has watched Zoey climb the state standings.[1][2][3]

The winning total was 315 pounds: a 140-pound snatch and a 175-pound clean and jerk. In Olympic competition, those two lifts are added together. Morelli also finished second in the Traditional division with a 300-pound total, according to Jason Dill’s February 21 results report in the Bradenton Herald. Traditional combines the bench press with the clean and jerk.

Parrish finished ninth in the Olympic team standings at that Class 3A meet. Morelli’s individual gold gave the Bulls a champion to go with that team finish.

It followed a steady climb. The school’s March championship report places her first state medal in 2024, followed by silver in 2025 and the title in 2026. Teammate Madeleine Frazzini also competed at the 2026 state meet, placing 11th in Traditional as a sophomore.

“Zoey continues to set a new standard of excellence,” coach Remi Hebert told the PCHS Bulletin after the championship.[1][3][2]

For the senior Morelli, the next chapter includes helping the lifters coming behind her. In Brooklynn Deckman’s September 16 profile for the PCHS Bulletin, she described wanting to guide Avery while leaving room for her sister to pursue her own goals.

“I want to help continue to build on what our team has accomplished,” Morelli told Deckman.

The ring marks what she has already done. A final school season with Avery gives Parrish another reason to follow what comes next.[1]
