Patient care has begun

Harrison Ranch’s new emergency department is now seeing patients. Manatee Memorial Hospital says the Parrish facility accepted its first patient Tuesday, October 6.

The freestanding ER operates 24 hours a day for all ages at 10820 U.S. 301 North. It is an extension of Manatee Memorial Hospital.

The hospital’s opening announcement describes a 10,884-square-foot building with six examination rooms and three rapid medical spaces. Services include laboratory testing, X-rays, CT scans and ultrasound.[1]

An update to our opening coverage

This article first appeared October 3, ahead of the scheduled opening. Updated October 12: the hospital has confirmed that patient care began on October 6. Its opening announcement describes six exam rooms and three rapid medical spaces, replacing the earlier project description of nine private rooms.

The opening confirms the next step after September’s ribbon cutting. Our earlier story remains available below for that milestone’s history.[1]
